RSI Bank donates $10,000 to Merchants and Drovers

RSI Bank is pleased to donate $10,000 to the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum in support of the maintenance and restoration of the museum, as well as programming. The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum is one of the most notable historical landmarks in Rahway, New Jersey.

The late-18th century building standing on the corner of Westfield Avenue and Saint Georges Avenue has been restored to its 1820’s appearance through a multi-phase restoration project. The Museum’s exhibits share scenes of early American inn and tavern life, including a bar and taproom and typical accommodations for 19th century travelers. The Museum also houses a unique collection of historical items related to the cultural heritage of the local community.
